Vision Teaching is currently working with a very organised, well established and forward-thinking SEN School based in Enfield. This OFSTED Good school are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join them immediately.
The school is based in the Enfield borough of London. You will be working 1:1 with a Year 7 child, who have emotional behavioural difficulties. The right candidate will build a strong rapport with the child and be able to promote learning and independence following the Educational Health Care Plan.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday from 8.30am – 3.30pm.
What is required in the role:
-Working closely with the child and reporting back on progress
-Working with the child on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups with the child
-Observing child’s behaviour
–DBS on the update system or willing to apply
-Available full time
-Previous SEMH/EBD or high SEND experience
Children with SEMH/EBD can be very sensitive, this could mean they may have trouble with the following: communication and mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will be asked to spend some time with the child before being offered the position until end of the academic year.
