We are currently looking for a Key Stage 2 teacher to teach a split Year 5/6 class with high attaining children who have outstanding behaviour, allowing the teacher to enjoy the joys of teaching and illustrate best practice. As the class consists of greater depth children, the breadth of differentiation required is smaller than expected. The class is supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant who is an ex-teacher.
This GOOD rated primary school is set in the leafy area of Hampstead, North West London, with access to several train and bus links. Pupils perform well above the national average in Reading, Writing and Maths across Key Stage Two. A member of SLT supports the Yr 5/6 class by taking small groups a couple of days a week for interventions as directed by the main teacher.
The ideal teacher will have previous experience teaching upper KS2, particularly experience in KS2 SATS preparation would be essential. A prerequisite for the class teacher will be having strong subject knowledge to ensure their bright children are continuously stimulated and stretched to their full academic potential.
Applications will be considered on an ongoing basis and trial days will take place immediately - please apply early to avoid disappointment.
