A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a ‘Good’ 2 form entry school based in Croydon, the school are looking for someone with a background in supporting children or young adults with behavioural needs. Prior experience in a school setting isn’t necessary but if preferred, potential candidates with experience working as a youth worker I would also love to hear from you.
The school itself is located near East Croydon station, there is excellent transport links and on site parking available for staff. The Head and Deputy have been at the school for over 30 years between them, they have created a wonderful atmosphere in the school and are seen as a flagship school within the borough when it comes to SAT’s.
For this post you will be working with a small group of children throughout the week, the children range from Y2-Y5 and they all have issues with their behaviour both in and outside of the classroom. The school are looking for someone who can implement school behaviour policy and also behavioural techniques to reduce the time spent out the class. The goal for the school is to ensure all children who will need support by February half term to be in class full time. You will be working closely with the class teachers in the respected year groups and also the SENCO.
You do not need training for this role but people with Team Teach training will be more of a desirable choice for the school, at Vision Teaching we offer FREE Team Teach training and have a 2 day course coming up during February half term if you would like to participate apply for the role and we can discuss further.
This is a full time role starting after the half term, The school are looking to bring people in for half day trials within the next 2 weeks. If interested apply immediately!
