A ‘Good’ Primary School in Romford are looking to recruit a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant. This is a full time role, starting ASAP for the remainder of the academic year. Key characteristics of the ideal candidate for this school is anyone who has an interest in supporting challenging behaviour within a mainstream provision, psychology graduates and sports orientated candidates.
You will be supporting the children academically in the classroom, and also socially in the playground, providing them with 1:1 support and guidance throughout the day. Each day will be different and you will be have to be resilient and adaptable in this role, but it will also provide reward in equal measure as you develop your relationships with the children under your care.
Due to the nature of this role, please only apply if you have experience. Relevant previous experience would include youth work, support work, mental health work and SEN support.
