Full time Y1 position, Kingston, September 2022

A Primary School that I am working with based in Kingston Upon Thames are seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join in September 2022. The Head Teacher has expressed that he is looking for a practitioner who will support children and cultivate a love of learning. The successful practitioner must work collectively with the other staff in school and will preferably have at least two year’s experience in an EYFS/KS1 class. The school are pushing for Outstanding status and so the Head teacher is keen to push standards, particularly in Phonics and Read, Write, Inc.

The Role:

The role available is a full time post, it will be for at least the academic year with the view of going onto a perm contract with the school for the 23/24 academic year.

You will need to hold the following.

• Experience in EYFS or a Primary School setting
• Available for full time work
• Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
• QTS is essential
• Core Subject Knowledge of Phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
• Good behaviour management skills

I am keen to get this tied up quickly for the school, I am looking at organising interviews ASAP. The interview will include a 20 minute Maths or English lesson that will be based around what the children are currently learning. If interested in the position available then apply ASAP.
