      About the job:

      Vision Teaching are currently recruiting for various Learning Support Assistant roles in a SEN school in Wandsworth; We have full time, part time and flexible roles available. Students in this school have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) or severe learning difficulties (SLD). You will be supporting children from the ages of 2-10 who have challenging behaviour, autism, and/or sensory impairments. You must be able to provide personal care including, toileting and changing.

      You will be expected to be a positive role model and have a firm but fair approach to setting appropriate boundaries. You will work closely with students to support their behaviour and learning difficulties. A successful candidate will work to support students in a Teaching Assistant capacity 1:1 or in small groups.

      The ideal candidate:

      We are seeking individuals that are confident with behaviour management.

      Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant is preferred but professional experience isn’t required. There has been great success from candidates who have personal experiences, having looked after a loved one or family member.

      You must have a calm nature and proactive approach to support children who have SEN and be keen to gain experience in the classroom.

      You must be able to commit to at least a terms work – stability and consistency are key for the students.

      This is a temporary position with the potential to go permanent
