Learning Support Assistant, full time, Kingston, KS1 class

I am currently looking for an experienced LSA to join a two form entry school based in Kingston. The role available will be working with a Y1 child, this is a full time roles starting after ASAP.

The position will be working on a 1:1 basis with a Y1 child who has ASD. The child struggles with routine, they have a defiant nature which in turn has affected the child’s behaviour, at the moment they are spending a mixture of time both in and outside of the class, the school are looking for someone who can reduce time spent out of class and manage the child behaviour.

The school itself is two form entry and rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, there is on-site parking available and transport links are good to and from the school. The Head has been at the school for a number of years and has a clear ethos and vision for the school, they are looking for like minded candidates who can contribute to improving the school.

For this position you must have previous experience supporting a child/children with ASD, primary experience is preferred but it isn’t necessary for the role. The school have said they want someone who has at least one years continuous experience supporting children with ASD.
