Learning Support Assistant, Kingston, full time, SEN support

I am working with various Primary schools in the Kingston area who are seeking confident and hard-working Teaching Assistants to work with their pupils on a full time basis. All roles are to start ASAP.

Both full time and part time positions are available, with the option for regular but flexible work to fit around your availability. Ideally you’ll be available for full time but I do work with schools that can be flexible.

This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who is considering a career within education in the future as you will have the opportunity to develop within a number of supportive Primary schools in this area, by working in variety of schools you can pick up techniques from other TA’s and learn from class teachers and other school staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support to the class teacher, ensuring that all children understand the work that is being set and will be there to give guidance to children when necessary.
• Working on a 1:1 or small group basis and ensuring you understand the individual needs of each child.
• Ensuring children are engaged in their learning and assisting with behaviour management of pupils.

Requirements:

• Ideally a background working with children, this isn’t essential but more desirable.
• Can do and positive attitude.
• Willing to work with a range of children that may have learning difficulties.
