I am currently working with a ‘Good’ primary school based in Merton who are looking for a KS2 LSA to support a child on a 1:1 basis, this particular child has been diagnosed with ASD.
The child is question is in Y5, the reason for this role starting is due to a retirement within the school so the position has come up. The child has an EHCP, everything is outlined in their plan. They struggle with both the curriculum and also with their behaviour, the child over the last few years spends most time in the classroom now, they do from time to time have to be taken out to do work out of the main classroom as they can get frustrated easily.
The school itself is located in Wimbledon, there is excellent transport links to and from the school and there is parking surrounding the school. They are a 3 form entry school, support in the school is excellent throughout, they offer CPD for all staff and have a strong link to the local community.
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience supporting children with ASD, ideally working with a KS2 child. You must have one years continuous experience supporting a child/children with these needs and be able to come in and make an immediate impact, strong behaviour management is essential for this role.
I am looking at getting someone in place ASAP. If you’re interested in the role available then get in contact.
