SEND TA – ASD – BSL

We are currently supporting a BSL School located in Wandsworth. This school is looking for a long term, full time autism experienced teaching assistant. This BSL school really has a lovely family feel, with an extremely experienced, well organised team in place. This role will last for the duration of academic year. A lot of the pupils in the classroom use PECS to communicate and are non verbal so experience with this is preferred, but the school will be willing to accept candidates with experience with non verbal and not just PECS. The classroom has 6-8 pupils and almost operates on a 1:!1 basis.

Suitable candidates will be offered another year and, in some cases, a permanent contract directly with the school. This role is to start ASAP!

Ideal candidate:

• BSL level 2 qualified (preferred not essential)
• PECS and non verbal experienced
• Experience with SEND – ASD, SEMH, ADHD
• Previous experience supporting BSL or in a BSL setting
• Available 5 days a week (part time roles also available)
• DBS on the update service or willing to apply
