SEND Teaching Assistant – Harrow
Vision Teaching are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a primary school located in West London, Harrow. The school are looking for a friendly and dedicated Teaching Assistants who can support a pupil who has Autism.
This role is great for someone who would like to gain more SEND experience whilst working in a mainstream primary setting. The right candidate will be working in the schools on site SEN unit in the morning with children who have Autism and, in the afternoon, move into the main school assisting in the classroom. Whilst in the classroom, you will be working potentially 1:1 and in small groups.

- £70-100 per day, depending on experience
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, the successful applicant will hold several responsibilities. This is the ideal opportunity to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses, have a background in SEND and those who would like to work in a friendly, dynamic, and supportive school.
- Helping pupils access the curriculum through dedicated support n 1:1 or in small groups
- Play a pivotal part in raising attainment
- Join a hardworking and dedicated team of practitioners
- Making and creating resources
- Supporting the needs of students with SEND
- Adapt techniques to suit learners
- To monitor and track pupil progress
- Take on feedback to continually improve your practice
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent OR experience in a Primary or SEND school
- Experience of working with children or young people who have SEND, specifically Autism
- A confident manner and will be able to adapt well to different situations
- A genuine passion for working with SEND
- Available to commit to at least February half term
