Short Breaks – SEND Support – Sutton

In this role you will be required to work 1:1 so previous experience with this is vital to this role. The hours will vary depending on the package the pupil has; this can be from 4 hours to 30 hours a week. At first establishing a trusting relationship with the pupil will be vital before you can take them out of the home and parents are very supportive in helping you establish this; you will be given an EHCP so you have all the knowledge needed to ensure pupils safety and a risk assessment will be put in place before any placement commences. Most of these roles are after school but there are roles during the school day and during half term available.

This is an amazing opportunity for anyone who wants to expand on their SEND experience and wants to work extra hours after school and during holidays.

Ideal candidate:

• Previous short breaks experience
• Experience with a range of SEND
• 1:1 SEND experience.
• Flexible patient approach to learning
• Previous experience working with parents with SEND children
• DBS on the update service or willing to apply
