A Good Secondary School based in Hornchurch, East London is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Geography Teacher to start from September 2022.

The school has great public transport links nearby with a railway station and tube station both only a 10-minute walk from the school

GEOGRAPHY TEACHER

Here lies the opportunity to join not only a great school, but a very successful department the Humanities Department aim to provide a challenging and exciting learning environment for all students They aim to deliver a wide variety of activities that celebrates and encourages young people to do their best and to develop their skills and knowledge towards a philosophy of life long physical activity. The department are exceptionally supportive and work very closely together to ensure that all students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities that take place through lunch breaks and after school With varying levels of experience within the department, both experienced Geography and Newly Qualified (NQT) Geography Teachers are welcomed to apply for this post.

The successful candidate will be required to teach the following:

Teach Geography from KS3-5 (including the planning and marking of all students work)

You will also need to assist with extra-curricular activities that are run throughout the term, as well as attending fixtures/competitions after school.

To be considered for this Geography Teacher role you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

An enhanced DBS on the update service

Experience teaching Geography to GCSE level or equivalent

Be available to work on a full time basis (5 days per week)
