Teaching Assistant – Autism Support

Vision Teaching are working with a mainstream primary school in Battersea who are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a pupil in Reception. The role would be supporting the Early Years class Teacher and pupils. The pupil that requires 1-1 support has ASD (autism) and can be energetic during class so someone who has previous relative experience working with children or adults with similar needs would be ideal. You will be responsible for prepping pupils work, running interventions and 1-1 booster sessions and supporting the pupil’s wellbeing.

The role is 5 days per week, Mon – Fri. Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm. This role is due to start from February 2022 until at least July 2022. There is possibly a permanent contract available for the right TA.

The Role:

• Full time, Monday – Friday
• Hours approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Early Years Teaching Assistant
• Reception 1-1
• SEN Support

Responsibilities:

• Providing support within the classroom wherever required
• Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis
• Ensuring children are engaged
• Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
• Helping with behaviour management of children
• Creating displays of children’s work
