        SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to Support a Child with ASD

        Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
        Location: Wandsworth
        Contract Type: Full-time, 8.30am – 15.30pm
        Salary: £100 per day

         

        About the Role:
        We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support, helping the child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive school environment.

         

        Key Responsibilities:

        • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
        • Support the child with daily tasks, ensuring a calm, structured, and inclusive environment.
        • Encourage positive social interactions and manage sensory needs.
        • Use creative and adaptable approaches to engage the child in learning.
        • Monitor progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents/carers.

         

        About You:

        • Experience working with children with ASD or other Special Educational Needs is desirable.
        • A calm, patient, and understanding demeanor.
        • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
        • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
        • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
