 About Us:

We are working with a truly extraordinary catholic primary school in Romford. The school focuses on providing an environment in which pupils are happy, challenged and secure. The school is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a 1:1 basis. If you would like to work in a strong, happy, family atmosphere as a SEN Teaching Assistant, then this is the school for you! As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to provide both 1:1 and group support to children with varying SEN, including Autism and ADHD. The school strongly believes in preparing every child for their future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Supporting young children with SEN
• Work with a team of adults to support all children under the guidance of the class teacher
• Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

 Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a Primary School
• Have a basic understanding of behaviour management
• Experience working with children as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• An understanding of using visuals to support learning
