        Registration and Compliance

        We are delighted to be a member of APSCo, The Association Of Professional Staffing Companies.

        Compliance+ is designed to safeguard children and vulnerable adults and to benchmark recruitment firms against the best possible service and was developed following extensive consultation with relevant stakeholders. We have committed to a strict Code of Conduct that demands high levels of professional behaviour at all times from candidates and internal members of staff.

        Our resource and compliance team follow stringent APSCo guidelines so that we continue to be a Compliance+ accredited recruitment company.

         

        So what does this mean for you?

        We go beyond statutory safeguarding standards and aim for excellence in our vetting procedure checks. You can be rest assured our team of specialists find the best role suited to you, as well as providing guidance on how to progress in your career.

        Our onboarding process

        An initial pre-vet phone call with our experienced Sales Consultants – This step helps to ascertain your suitability, skill set and experience when your CV is received.

        Upon successful pre-vetting, you will be shortlisted to attend our office in person, or arrange a video registration meeting with our friendly Resource Team. Prior to your registration meeting you will be required to submit all requested documentation via a secure portal, and to complete the Registration Form. This will help speed up the process of onboarding and compliance to ensure you can go out to work as soon as possible.

        Registration Meeting

        Our Resource Team will conduct a Registration Meeting via video call or in person. We will get to know you as an educator and assess your knowledge and experience.

        All legal documents are reviewed, as well as asking key valued based questions to help us determine your suitability to work with children. All staff must demonstrate English competence to support pupils from Reception to A-Level and a positive attitude towards safeguarding and protecting children.

        At your registration meeting, the documents listed below will be reviewed for safeguarding vetting purposes:

        • Right to Work;
        • Photo ID;
        • Proofs of Address;
        • Proof of National Insurance;
        • Change of Name (if applicable);
        • Relevant Qualifications;
        • Enhanced DBS check (full copy including all pages);
        • Overseas Police Checks (if applicable);
        • Safeguarding and Prevent Training certificates;

         

        At your registration meeting, the information listed below will be vetted for suitability and safeguarding purposes:

        • Relevant experience explored;
        • CV gaps of 12-weeks or more queried, with comprehensive explanation notes made;
        • Valued-based interview questions;
        • Information on Safeguarding and Prevent training provided, should you require this;
        • Any other vetting questions deemed necessary by the Resource Team.

        Compliance Process

        Vision’s Teaching’s dedicated Compliance Team will then oversee the remainder of your registration once a satisfactory Registration Meeting and Registration form are completed. The Compliance Team work in line with APSCO’s Compliance+ and KCSIE guidelines, as well as relevant statutory guidance from the DfE. They will contact references on your behalf (once permission is provided) and cross reference with information on your CV/ Registration Form to ensure all relevant references are obtained. The Compliance Team will also contact you for any information/ documents that were not provided to the Resource Team, with a reasonable explanation. Any queries the Compliance Team have regarding your supplied information will be queried for a satisfactory outcome for clearance to work. If for any reason, you do not pass our robust registration and safeguarding vetting checks, Vision Teaching hold the right to terminate the registration at any point.
