BSL Teaching Assistant – Special School (Haringey)
Salary: £88–£110 per day (DOE)
Contract: Full-time preferred; part-time applicants welcome for supply cover

A well-regarded special school in Haringey is seeking an experienced BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments across the curriculum. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and skilled BSL Teaching Assistant who is committed to enabling students’ communication, confidence and independence.
Key Requirements:
British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or Level 3
Experience supporting students with hearing impairments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, adaptable and empathetic approach to working with young people
Ideal Backgrounds Include:
Sign Language Interpreters
Communication Support Workers (CSWs)
Individuals with experience in deaf education or specialist SEN settings
The Role:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support using BSL
Work closely with teaching staff to ensure students have full access to learning
Promote inclusion, independence and positive communication within the classroom
Contribute to a supportive and specialist team as a valued BSL Teaching Assistant
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to make a meaningful difference in a specialist setting. Full-time applicants are encouraged for long-term roles, though part-time candidates are also welcomed for daily supply cover.
