        Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

        Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential? An Ofsted rated ‘good’ secondary school in Havering is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their vibrant and inclusive community. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with ranging needs and abilities, including those with SEN or requiring extra academic or pastoral support.

        As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality classroom support, both one-to-one and in small groups. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine interest in achieving wider school goals.

        Responsibilities:

        • Provide tailored support to students.
        • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
        • Offer pastoral support for students to participate and engage in lessons.
        • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
        • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

        Requirements:

        • Experience working with young people in an educational setting (desirable)
        • Degree of high classification or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
        • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
        • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
