        The School

We are working in partnership with a close-knit, successful West London SEND School who cater for students across both the Primary and Secondary Phase. The pupils have a variety of additional needs, however most have a diagnosis of ASD and additional behavioural requirements.

        The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students by delivering high-quality teaching and support tailored to their individual needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and healthcare providers, to create a holistic and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

        • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with ASC, ADHD, SpLD, SEMH, PMLD, and other complex needs.

        • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate students' individual learning styles, abilities, and communication needs.

        • Provide personal care and support to students, including assistance with feeding, toileting, and mobility, as needed.

        • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, and collaborate with external agencies to support students' holistic development.

        • Maintain accurate records of students' progress, achievements, and support needs, and participate in the review and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The Ideal SEND Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

        • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities, particularly those with ASC, ADHD, SpLD, SEMH, PMLD, and other complex needs.

        • Knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks, and best practices related to special education, including safeguarding and personal care procedures.

        • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students with diverse needs.
